Reauthorization Legislation HR 5503 S. 2844

The “James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Reauthorization Act of 2014”, HR. 5503 and S.2844 was introduced by Congress Members Carolyn Maloney, Jerrold Nadler and Peter King and Senators Kirstin Gillibrand and Charles Schumer on September 17th, 2014.

The bill, if approved by Congress, would reauthorize and extend the World Trade Center Health Program which is providing health care and monitoring to over 60,000 Responders and health care to over 7,000 injured and ill Survivors, including, residents, at the time students and area workers till 2041 and continue the Reopened Septembers 11th Victim Compensation Fund (VCF) which is providing compensation to injured and ill 9/11 Responders and Survivors.
